Services for Julius C. "Bud" Richardson, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Natchez Drive with burial in Turner/Richardson Cemetery on Richardson Road in the Johnson Grove community.
Mr. Richardson, 79, died Feb. 18, 2007, after a lengthy illness, at King's Daughters Medical Center. He was a lifelong resident of Lincoln County. He was born on Aug. 5, 1927, to Jack (John) Richardson and Alice Branch Richardson.
He was a retired oil field worker. He was a member of Southway Baptist Church and a member of Masonic Lodge 241.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his brothers, Johnny, Hillary and Shirley Richardson; and his sisters, Frances, Janie, Emma, Lula, Annie Mae, Catherine, Bertha and Geneva.
Survivors are his devoted wife of 56 years, Ellen Richardson, of Brookhaven; his sons, Julius Wayne Richardson and wife Elane, of Johnson Grove community, Jackie Richardson and wife Peggy, of Brookhaven, and Johnny Richardson and wife Julia, of Johnson Grove; his daughter, Debra Keeton and husband John, of Pearland, Texas; his sister, Ida Davis, of Lucedale; and his 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
