Death of Mrs. John B. Chapman

Friends have received word of the death of Mrs. John B. Chapman, which occurred at Logansport yesterday. The remains will arrive on the evening train and be conveyed to the home of her sisters, Mrs. Ella V. Bell and Miss Middleton, north Vine street. Mrs. Chapman will be remembered by our older citizens as Dora Middleton, a daughter of one of the pioneer families of Jefferson county.

The years of her girlhood and early married life were spent among us, and her memory is precious to many who recall her activities in church and charity work. Her husband, a veteran of the civil war, died May 16, 1885.
