SANFORD H. RUDD
HOOSICK - Funeral services for Sanford H. Rudd, 62, of this hamlet, was killed instantly in a tragic accident in Boyntonville yesterday will be held this weekend.
Rudd was born here in 1895, son of Ernest F. Rudd and and the late Martha (Harrison) Rudd.
He has lived here all his life and for many years was employed on state road crews. For the last three years he operated road repair machines.
He was a member of the Hoosick Grange, Rensselaer County Pomona Grange and the New York State Grange. He was a member of the Hoosick Baptist Church and the Hoosac Club.
Survivors include his wife, father, a daughter, Mrs. Chester DuMond Jr. of Olster Park; a son, Douglas H. Rudd of Saginaw, four grandchildren and several cousins. The Leo J. Mahar Funeral Home is handling funeral arrangements.
Funeral services for Mr. Rudd will be held at 2 pm Friday at the family residence in Hoosick followed by services at 2:30 at Hoosick Baptist Church. Burial will take place in Maple Grove Cemetery in Hoosick Falls.
