"This is a little confusing - her obit said she was the daughter of Ephraim but it should say ELI Allen. Ephraim was her brother, see birth years."

There was an obituary for Lottie in the "Ottumwa Courier," on April 25, 1928.

Lottie was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ephraim Allen. She came to Iowa in 1858 and settled at Agency City. The following year she moved to Ottumwa where she resided until April 2, 1927, when she left for Indiana to make her home with her relatives.

She was a member of Main Street Methodist Episcopal Church and a long time attendant at this church. She was also a member of the Loyal Bible class and of other church organizations.

Lottie died at the home of her sister, Mrs. D.M. Kinney, in Rushville, Indiana. She was survived by her two sisters, Mrs. D.M. Kinney of Rushville and Mrs. B.F. Huddleston of Dunrieth, Indiana.
