A mass of Christian Burial wil be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. for Leopold F. "Paul" Rychart, 70.
Mr Rychart, a retired home builder, died July 28, 1992, at Tuality Community Hospital of cancer.
The Rev Carl Flach will officiated at St Matthew Catholic Church. Intement will follow at Valley Memorial Park.
A prayer vigil will be today at 6:30 p.m. at Bronleewe-Bass Funeral home.
Mr. Rychart was born April 6,1922, a son of Leo and Tracy (Hulst) Rychart. He was raised and educated in East Grand Forks,MN and had lived in Hillsboro since 1957.
Mr. Rychart and his wife Edna (Keeney) were married Dec. 1, 1943 in Crookston,MN.
He served in the South Pacific and Middle East with the US Navy during World War II.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 104 in Aloha and Elks Lodge 1862 in Hillsboro, as well as the Veteran of Foreign Wars in Nehalem.
Mr. Rychart was an avid fisherman, hunter and outdoorsman.
Surviors include his wife, Edna, Hillsboro; five sons, Johnnny and Timothy of Forest Grove, Michael and Daniel of Hillsboro and David of San Diego, CA; two daughters Jewel Jaquess, West Linn, and Marilyn Rychart, Aloha.
Also surviving are 6 grandchildren, 2 two great-grandchildren; a brother Raymond Rychart, Marble, MN; two sisters Nellie Christensen, Fortuna,CA and Marie Pribula, East Grand Forks, MN and numerous nieces and nephews.
