He married Agnes Clark in 1939 and farmed until 1980, when they moved to Spokane.
He enjoyed visiting with people, playing games, telling jokes and playing the accordion. He was active in Odessa Grange, Marcellus Wheat Growers Association, Shriners, te Masonic Lodge, Heritage Congregational Church and the Southside Senior Center.
He is survived by four children:

He was preceded in death by his parents, his nine siblings and his wife Agnes, of 63 years, grandson Asawa Izidor and son-in-law Ray Branting.
