Clyde M. Tregoning, 90, passed away on Friday, July 27, 2012, at Manor Care Kingston Court in York. He was the beloved husband of Anna P. (Stambaugh) Tregoning. Together they shared over 50 years of marriage.

Clyde was born in New Market, Md., and was the son of the late Tyson and Nora B. (Mercer) Tregoning.

He proudly served his country during WWII on a submarine in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged.

He worked for Pennsylvania Railroad for many years and retired in 1972. He was a member of the West York VFW Post and Zeredatha Lodge #451 F&AM.

In addition to his wife, Anna, he is survived by his daughter, Linda A. Myers and her husband, Richard of Hanover; his grandchildren, April Kanwischer and her husband, Richard, and Brad R. Myers and his fiancee, Kari Garver; and his great-grandson, Chad Linn. He is also survived by his stepbrothers, Donald and Ira; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Sam and John; and his sisters, Millie, Bessie, and Hilda.

A funeral service in celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Irwin-Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service PC, 175 N Main St., Spring Grove, with the Rev. Larry McConnell officiating.

He will be laid to rest following the service at Mt. Rose Cemetery in York with military honors provided by York County Veterans Honor Guard.
