Andrew Abaray, 67 of Port Reading passed away Saturday July 21st at his home.
Born in Perth Amboy, Andrew lived in Avenel for seventeen years before moving to Port Reading twenty five years ago.
Retiring in 2007, he was employed by General Motors in Linden as a fork lift operator for many years. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church, Port Reading. Andrew was a member of the Avenel Volunteer Fire Department serving as chief in 1981, and was also a member of the New Jersey Exempt Firemen's Association.
Andrew is survived by his loving wife of twenty years Teresa Bozek Abaray; a daughter, Cheryl Abaray of Carteret; a son, Andrew J. Abaray of Lawrence Harbor; two step sons, Piotr Bozek of Perth Amboy, Andrzej Bozek of Port Reading, and his grandson, Maksymilian Bozek.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 9 a.m. from the Chubenko Funeral Home, 625 Port Reading Ave., Port Reading followed by a 9:30 a.m. Mass of Resurrection from St. Anthony of Padua R.C.
