Louise Chaudoin, 92, of rural Franklin, died Tuesday, April 2, 2008, at Barton W Stone Home in Jacksonville.
She was born March 5, 1916, in Nortonviolle, the daughter of Henry and Ida Catherine Alexander McCann. She married Samuel Chaudoin on Sept. 4, 1937, in Galesburg, and he preceded her in death Dec. 20, 1968.
She is survived by two sons, Carroll D(wife Sandra Grubb)of Greenfield and Paul Dean(wife Brenda Chaudoin) of Nortonville.; four daughters, Terry Lane(husband Jerry)Adams of Springfield, Lydia Ann(husband Lawrence)Whitlock of Nortonville and Patsy(husband Larry)Lancaster, and Juanita(husband Larry)Preston both of Jacksonville; 20 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Muriel Dugger of Scottville and Cora Perry of Jacksonville.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Sylvia Evans and Samela Dawn in infancy; five sisters, Una McCann, Zadel Miers, Gladys Woolfolk, Opal White and Minnie Stillwell; and one brother, Guy Alexander.
Mrs. Chaudoin attended the Youngblood Baptist Church in Nortonville. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, making pies and yard work.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Youngblood Baptist Church in Nortonville, with burial in Youngblood Cemetery in Nortonville. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. at Mackey-Daws Funeral Home in Murrayville where the family will meet friends from 5-8 p.m.
