Terry Gene Liles of Farmington, N.M., went to heaven on Friday, July 13, 2012, in Durango, Colo.
Terry was born on June 7, 1936, in Aspermont, Texas, to Roy Emmett Liles and Thelma Dean Daniels. He had a stepfather, Bob Dillashaw.
Terry worked for El Paso Natural Gas and retired in 1991. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He played golf, bowled and loved the outdoors. He had a very weird sense of humor; he loved to play jokes on his friends and family. Terry served in the U.S. Air Force.
Terry was married to Jean Hodgson. From this union there were two beautiful daughters, Jacqueline Gail and Julie Ann. Then he married Catalina Read. This union lasted 38 years, and they adopted a daughter, Angelia.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Julie Ann Rodriguez in 2006 and his granddaughter Lacey Liles in 2007 .
Terry is survived by his wife, Catalina Read Liles; by Jacqueline (Mike) Thomason and their children Britton, Brandy, Mike, Ed (Jade), Shane and Natalie Thomason; by Julie's childrenLindsay Shea and Kristin Rodriquez; by Angelia (Billy) Heath and their children Andrew, Nicholas, Richard, Allegra, and Draven.
He is also survived by his sister Carol Ann Lumpkins and brothers Bobby (Judy) Dillashaw, and David (Debbie) Dillashaw; good friends Maria and Ken Begay; numerous nieces and nephews; and all the people who have worked and do work at 7-2-11 who have been so good to him though the years.
There was a memorial service for Terry on July 19 in Farmington. At a later date, he will be put to rest in Pagosa Springs.
