Retired from VBC Distributors and a resident of Greenwell Springs, he died Thursday, April 17, 2003, at 11:40 p.m. at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Bluebonnet. He was 87 and a native of Chenal. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Visiting at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and in the Camellia Room from 8 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Bobby Efferson of Greenwell Springs; a son and daughter-in-law, E.J. and Nonie Bueche of Knoxville, Tenn.; six grandchildren, Chris and Danny Efferson, Stacey Bueche Villarrubia and Trey, Stephen and Robert Bueche; and 10 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Roccaforte Bueche; parents, Francis and Blanche Bueche; and five brothers and six sisters. He was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church and American Legion Nicholson Post 38.
