VALDOSTA — Margaret Jewell Baker, 73, of West Berrien Community, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at her residence. Mrs. Baker was born Dec. 21, 1938, to the late John and Magdalene Lindsey Lokey. She was employed with J.P. Stevens before retiring and attended Beulah Holiness Baptist Church.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Baker was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Ed "Boggie" Baker; one daughter, Cynthia Regina Baker; two brothers, Jimmy Lokey, and Thomas Lokey; two sisters, Carolyn Rooks, and Mary Ann Luke.
Graveside service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in Oak Ridge Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Bennett officiating. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. today at Purvis Funeral Home.
