Carolyn L. Rooks, 77, of Lenox, died Saturday June19,2010, at her residence after a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at Purvis Funeral Home. The Rev. Jimmie Hinson and Dr, Danny Ray will officiate. Burial will follow at Lakeview Baptist Church Cemetery. The Family will recieve friends from 6-8 tonight at Purvis Funeral Home.
Mrs. Rooks was born 4-8-1933 to the late John T and Mary Lindsey Lokey. She was a homemaker and attended Lenox Christian Fellowship.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rooks was preceded in death by her husband J.D. Rooks (Jasper Daniel),who died in June 1975, two sons, Elton Rooks and Gary Rooks, and one daughter, Pamela Rooks.
