Amy Opal Parke, 62, South Boots St., Marion, died Wednesday in a Marion Nursing home. She had been ill for nine months.
Mrs. Parke was born in Cass County, and had lived in Marion for 13 years. She was a former mailroom employee of the Chronicle-Tribune.
Survivors include her husband, Chester; three sons, Walter Poole and Kenneth Waller, both of Marion, and Robert Kramer, Fort Wayne; two daughters, Mrs. Phyllis Horseman and Mrs. Carolyn Smith, both of Marion; a sister, Mrs. Pearl King, Spicerville; a stepsister, Mrs. Dorothy Shaffer, Wabash; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services were held on Saturday in the Needham and Son Funeral Home, So. Adams St., Marion. Burial was made in the Gardens of Memory cemetery, Huntington Co., IN.
