James W. Burton

Services for James W. Burton, 78, former resident of Ogden, who died Sunday at his home in Hollywood, Calif., will be conducted Friday at one p.m. in the Larkin funeral home, Ogden, according to word received by a son , Robert W. Burton, 451 Ninth East, Salt Lake City.

Mr. Burton was born Oct 24, 1865, in Marriott, Weber county, a son of James and Elizabeth Burton. He married Agnes McFarland July 24, 1892. His wife died 10 years ago.

Prior to moving to California, he was connected with Browning automobile company in Ogden. He was a member of the L.D.S. church.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Oscar Wright, Hollywood; three sons, Robert W. Burton, Salt Lake City; J. Ralph and H. Ellwood Burton, Hollywood; a sister, Mrs. George Moulding, Ogden, and Jesse Burton, Ogden, and Joseph Burton, Salt Lake City; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Burial will be in Ogden city cemetery.
