Sara A. Newcomer, age 94, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2012 in Medina.
Sara was born September 17, 1917 in Telford, PA to the late John and Susan (Alderfer) Allem.
She formerly worked in the credit department at Sears for 25 years and was a member of First Baptist Church. She will always be remembered as an accomplished pianist and organist.
She was the beloved mother of John (Connie) Newcomer of Powell, OH and Sue Ann Seevers of Perrysburg, OH; loving grandmother of Jenifer (Tim) Klostermeier, Rebecca (Eric) Markert, Jeff (Katie) Seevers, Aaron (Leigh Anne) Newcomer, Julie (Eric) Kurfis and Laura (David) Kaldy; great-grandmother of 17; and dear sister of Henry, Roger and Price.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles to whom she was married 70 years; brothers Warren and Harold; sisters Mildred, Gertrude and Mariam; and daughter-in-law Susan (Wallace) Newcomer.
Services will be held Friday, July 27 at 1:00 P.M. at the Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina. Pastor Nate Harmon will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 11-1:00 P.M. on Friday at the funeral home.
Private burial will be held at Spring Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, 3646 Medina Road Medina, OH 44256.
