A graveside service for Price Allem age 102, of Jacksonville, is scheduled at 2 o’clock in the afternoon Friday, December 15, 2017 at Jarratt Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville.
Mr. Allem passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2017 in Jacksonville.
Born Price Alderfer Allem in Telford, Pennsylvania on June 22, 1915. The 5th son of 9 children born to John and Susan Allem.
Mr. Allem accepted Christ at the age of 18 and married Peggy Oberg of Norwalk, Ohio in 1942. They were married 75 years.
He attended Phoenix Jr. College and Moody Bible Institution in Chicago.
Price traveled for 4 years with the Allem Evangelistic Musical Trio.
He served as a pastor for 16 years and was a member of Cove Springs Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Harold Allem, Warren Allem, and Rodger Allem; sisters, Mildred Davies, Marion Wolf, Sarah Newcomer and Gurtrude Holmgen.
He is survived by his wife Peggy Allem of Jacksonville; sons, Douglas R. Allem of Jacksonville, Stephen Allem of Humble; a brother, Henry Allem of GA. Grandchildren are Joshua P. Allem, Susan G. Allem, Heather M. Stickland, Rebekah Lane and Sarah Hammock; great-grandchildren, Hunter Shine, Reese Hammock and one on the way. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be on Thursday, December 14, 2017 from 4-6 p.m at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
