Edith (Hurst)Johnson 85, of Warwick, passed away, July 20, 2012. She was the beloved wife of the late Carl A. Johnson.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Charles E. and Edith (Kelley) Hurst. Mrs. Johnson was a graduate of The RI Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1948 and was a registered nurse employed at the Jane Brown Hospital in Providence before retiring. She was a member of the Pilgrim Lutheran Church and the RI Hospital School of Nursing Alumni.
She is survived by two sons, Scott D. Johnson of Warwick, Gregory A. Johnson of Cambridge, MA., sister of Alice Hurst of Warwick, two grandchildren, Steven and Stephanie Johnson of Warwick. She was the mother of the late Steven K. Johnson and sister of the late Charles E. Hurst Jr. and Edna Tamboe.
Funeral service will be held Thursday July 26, 2012 at 11am in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave. Burial will be in Pawtuxet Memorial Park, Warwick.
