Wendell R. Moore, 80, of Red Oak, formerly of Alburnett, died Tuesday, May 10, 2005, in his home from complications of Parkinson's disease.
Wendell, the son of Elmer N. and E. Orlu (Stick) Moore, was born on the family farm March 15, 1925, in Alburnett, Iowa. He graduated from Alburnett High School in 1942 and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Wendell was united in marriage to Ardis Kirkpatrick on Dec. 18, 1949, in Mount Vernon. He graduated from Iowa State University in 1950, with a degree in agricultural engineering.
