Nora Shortt, 93, Ozark, died Sunday, April l, 1990 in Ozark Nursing and Care Center, following a three month illness. Born March 6, 1897, she was a lifelong resident of Douglas and Christian counties.
She was a member of the Union Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include seven sons, Everett Shortt, Ava, Herman Shortt, Sparta, Milford Shortt, Roseville, Calif., Samuel Shortt, Sparta, Dewey Shortt, Fair Oaks, Calif., Darrell Shortt, Marshfield, and Lester Shortt, Stockton, Calif.; two daughters, Pearl Hull, Springfield, and Bonnie Rogers, Ozark; three sisters, Dora Maggard, Elkhead, Dorothy Shine, Springfield, and Agnes Lafferty, Ava; 34 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee, and a son, Arlie.
Funeral services were held Wednesday April 4 in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with the Revs. Carl Thompson and James "Hobo" Applegate officiating. Burial was in the Sparta Cemetery.
