SWANSON, ELSIE MAE—Else Mae (Hatcliff) Swanson was born on a farm near Shickley, Neb., November 29, 1899. She passed to her eternal reward Monday, August 14, 1939, at the age of 39 years, 8 months, and 15 days. She was united in marriage to Hilmer Swanson of Saronville, Neb., November 2, 1927. She joined the fellowship of the Methodist church in Saronville, Neb., February 12, 1928.

Mrs. Swanson was a devoted wife, and a faithful worker, a loving helper and friend. She leaves to mourn her departure a devoted husband of Saronville; her mother, Mrs. Jennie Hatcliff of Shickley, Neb.; three sisters, Mrs. Hattie Spahn and Mrs. Florence Isley of Sutton, Neb., and Mrs. Alice Clawson of Milford, Neb.; three brothers at home, Oscar, Lester, and Arthur, and a host of relatives and friends. Her father passed away September 2, 1931.

The funeral service was held last Thursday afternoon at the Methodist church at Saronville, Rev. E. L. Watson officiated. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery. Members of her Sunday school class were pallbearers.
