Shocking Death on Rail
John Lewis Run Over Cut to Pieces on R.G.W.
Special Correspondence.
Lehi, Utah Co., July 4--This morning about 3 am John Lewis, son of Bishop Henry Lewis was run over by the Rio Grande train and literally cut to pieces. He was on his way to American Fork, where his wife and three children were visiting relatives, and in some way got on the railroad track and was killed.
Three trains ran over his body, and it could hardly be recognized. This is a sad blow to the wife and family, and the news of the young man's awful death will be a great shock to those who knew him. He was about 26 years old.
