Glenn was born on December 27, 1934 to Holmes "Blocker" and Sallie Fay (Souther) Alexander in Olney, Texas. He was a graduate of Olney High School. On June 26, 1954, he married the love of his life, Jerry Young in Olney, Texas. The couple had three children. He was a huge supporter of his children in their sports, school and band activities. He spent more than 34 years working in the oil field. After retiring, he spent many hours working with his hands in his garden. Glenn was also an avid fan of Western movies, his favorite of all, John Wayne movies. He also liked watching college and pro football on TV. His biggest love was his family, beginning with his wife Jerry and closely following, his one and only granddaughter and the remainder of his family. He was an ordained Deacon at Fairway Baptist Church.
Glenn was preceded in death by his son Larry Glenn Alexander, his parents, and brothers Jack, Dago and Cletus Alexander.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jerry Alexander of Wichita Falls, Texas, two children, Tracie Alexander of Wichita Falls, Texas and Jeff Alexander and wife Laura of Flower Mound, Texas and his one grandchild Rebekah Alexander. He also leaves behind one brother Alvin Wayne Alexander and wife Cherry of Pampa, Texas and his sister Donia Woods and husband Don of Olney, Texas as well as several nieces and nephews.
