BOONVILLE — Donald MacVean, 77, died Saturday at the Sunset nursing home, where he had been a patient
six months. There will be no funeral.
Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery, Elmira.
Friends may call today at the Trainor funeral home. There are no known survivors.
Mr. MacVean was born at LeRoy on Jan. 2, 1890. He was a well-known trainer of race horses and had worked at race tracks in New York state (including Vernon Downs) and Florida.
He served in the army in World War I.
