Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Sardis Baptist Church with the Rev. E. B. Barton officiating. Burial was in Brown Cemetery under direction of Edmonds Funeral Home.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Francis Ray, Atlanta; three daughters, Mrs. Jewel Luther, Orange, Tex., Mrs. Anna Bell Taylor, Winnfield, and Mrs. Bessie Langley, New Orleans; one [half] brother, George Ray, Winnfield; two [half] sisters, Miss Priscilla Ray and Mrs. Pintey [sic Pinkee] Young, both of Winnfield; 12 grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
