From the Grass Valley Union paper dated February 2, 1912 - "Borne To The Grave - The remains of the late Mrs. Mary Bristow, formerly of Cherokee, who died at Auburn Tuesday, were interred in the family plot at North San Juan yesterday afternoon. The son and two daughters of deceased accompanied the body to its final resting place, while many friends of Mrs. Bristow from along the San Juan Ridge attended the funeral."
