Thomas Oscar Newsom, 74, of 639 Harvard Street, Clovis, died last night in the home of his son, Lorenza Newsom, near Riverdale, after an illness of a few days.
He was a native of Texas and was a retired rancher. He had lived in Clovis for about 11 years.
He also is survived by six other sons, Gilbert and Otto, also of Riverdale, Merrill of Burrell, Steve of Clovis, Leonard of Vallejo and Russell of San Diego; two daughter, Mrs. Clara Kingston and Mrs. Hazel Grant of Clovis; two brothers, Steve Newsom of Texas and Doc Newsom of Oklahoma, and 44 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be announced by Stephens & Bean.
