Angel was born in Istanbul, Turkey in 1879. Her parents were Henry and Lucy Anastas. They immigrated to the United States in 1883, settling in Texas. She had a brother Spkin Anastas, born 1882 in Turkey, and a sister Elizabeth Anastas Deguire, born 1885 in Texas. Angel married Harim Donigan in 1894 in Texas. She was living with her parents in Waller Co., Texas in the 1900 Census. She had been married six years. In the 1910 Census she is living with her widowed mother, Lucy Anastas, and her daughter Sophia Donigan, in Houston, Harris Co., Texas. She was divorced.
The 1920 Census, taken on the 2nd & 3rd of Jan. 1920, shows her with her second husband Loylter Lewis, age 43, her daughter Sophia Donigan age 24 and her mother Lucy Anastas age 71. Sophia died on the 28 Oct 1920. Her mother,Lucy Anastas died 4 Sept. 1924, and she was also buried in Forest Park Cemetery.
