Mrs. Alice Judson
The death of Mrs. Alice Judson, widow of the late Saunders Judson, occurred at 11:02 o'clock Tuesday morning at her home on the Beaver Meadow road as the result of a stroke of paralysis which she sustained on Thursday of last week.
Mrs. Judson was the daughter of the late Charles Robinson and Maria (Granger) Wilson, and she was born
in the town of Roseboom April 14, 1856. Her father was a hotel proprietor and operated hostelries in several places
where the family made their home during her early years. She was united
in marriage with Mr. Judson, a prominent farmer and hop grower of the town of Middlefield, in November, 1873,
and had made her home on the farm in the Beaver Meadow district for the past forty years. Mr. Judson died October
5,1922. She was a woman of many fine qualities of mind and heart and a wide circle of friends will mourn her passing.
Surviving are two brothers, Charles Wilson of San Dimas, California, and George Wilson of Middlefield; one daughter, Mrs. J. Pierce Coleman, and one son, Walter Judson, both of Cooperstown.
The funeral will be held from the late home Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. Wilbur C. 'Dodge, pastor of
lie Cooperstown Methodist church, officiating, and burial will be made in the cemetery at Hartwick Seminary
