"PATE, Bannie Lois, 86, Columbus, GA, died Monday, July 16, 2012. Funeral service will be held: 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 23, 2012, at North Highland Church with a private burial in Parkhill Cemetery, the family will receive friends Sunday, July 22, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home." "Bannie Lois PATE, 86, of Columbus, Ga. died Monday, July 16, 2012 at Magnolia Manor.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 23, 2012 at North Highland Church, 7300 Whittlesey Blvd, Columbus, GA. 31909 with Reverend Robert FRENCH and Reverend Dennis LACY officiating according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus, GA. A private family interment will take place in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. PATE was born in Geneva County, AL, on March 14, 1926 to the late Frank Marion LOLLEY and Bessie MOTLEY LOLLEY. She was an active member of North Highland Church where she taught Sunday School to the ladies Bible Class for 15 years. She had a strong passion for visiting and ministering to the shut-ins. Mrs. Pate was an avid follower of the news and current events, but even more so, an avid student of God's Word. She was the owner and operator of Lois’s Beauty Shop for many years. Mrs. PATE was preceded in death by her husband Leonard Junior PATE.
Survivors include her daughter Cheryl FRENCH and husband Reverend Robert FRENCH of Midland, GA, a granddaughter, Stacey BAKER and husband Kevin and great granddaughter Emma BAKER all of Columbus, GA. a sister, Jewel AUSTIN of Columbus and a brother, James LOLLEY of Carrollton, GA. and numerous nieces and nephews.
Contributions can be made to the North Highland benevolence fund."
