Mrs. Mary Frank Lolley Hogan of Geneva, AL went home to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, June 15, 2010. She was 87. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 18, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Scott Crooms and Minister Doug Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday beginning at 10:00 a.m. and continue until service time. Mrs. Hogan was born December 22, 1922, in Geneva County to the late Marion and Bessie Motley Lolley. She enjoyed visiting the nursing home with her church singing group and singing to the residents. She also enjoyed the Senior Citizen's Center. The Bible was her favorite book and she accomplished reading it completely through several times each year. Mrs. Hogan was a member of the Geneva First Assembly of God Church where she taught Sunday school for a number of years. She was a true warrior for Christ. In addition to her parents, her husband, O.C. Hogan, as well as one brother and three sisters, preceded her in death. Survivors include two sons, Charles (Barbara) Hogan, Pike Road, AL, Max Ray (Pauline) Hogan, Geneva, AL; four grandchildren: Chuck Hogan, Hartford, AL, Steve (Karen) Hogan, Burlington, CT, Robin (Allen) Hickner, Lake Jackson, TX, Allison Hogan, Troy, AL; eight great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; two sisters, Jewel Austin and Lois Pate both of Columbus, GA; one brother, James (Mary) Lolley, Carrollton, GA; several nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends. Sorrells Funeral Home of Geneva, (334) 684-9999, is in charge of arrangements.
