Maude Houser Wyrick, 92, of Versailles, died Wednesday morning, Jan. 25, 1984, at St. John's Mercy Hospital in St. Louis. She was born Dec. 30, 1891 in Tuscumbia, the daughter of the late James E. and Martha Jane Hawken Clark.
She was married to R.F. Houser, who preceded her in death in 1959. She later married Peter B. Wyrick, who preceded her in death in 1969. She was a retired teacher, and a member of the First Christian Church in Versailles.
She is survived by one daughter, Maudine Eckard, of St. Louis; two step-daughters, Daunta Self, Kansas City, Mo., and Omega Allen of New Bloomfield; one step-son, Julius Wyrick of Dupo, Ill., two sisters, Anna George, Camdenton, Mrs. Grace Vernon, Eldon; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles, with Pastor Jim Randall officiating. Burial will be at the Tuscumbia Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. today.
