Aaron G. Feathers

Aaron G. Feathers, 74, 254 Smalling Road, Watauga, died Tuesday, December 25, 2001, at his residence following an extended illness.
Mr. Feathers was a native of Carter County and a son of the late Mitchell and Donia Harr Feathers.
Mr. Feathers was retired from the retail produce business, having owned the Garden Basket in Johnson City for a number of years. He had
served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a Charter Member of Range Community Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Lowe Feathers; two daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Randy Whaley, Watauga, and Kim and Gary
Townsend, Elizabethton; four sisters, Ethel Hard, Marietta, Ga., Lucille Kelley, Carey Beach, N.C., Mary Sue Pierson and Lois Smith, both of Watauga; and two grandsons, Matt Townsend and Garrett Townsend. Several
nieces and nephews also survive.

FEATHERS -- Memorial services Celebrating the Life of Aaron G. Feathers, 74, 254 Smalling Road, Watauga, who died Tuesday, December
25, 2001, will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday, December 27, at Range Community Christian Church with Mr. Glenn Keller officiating. Music will
be provided by Lori Decker, Kelly Samples and Debbie Keller. Private graveside services will be conducted at Happy Valley Memorial Park.
Active pallbearers will be his brothers-in-law, Herbert Curde and Dale Potter. Honorary pallbearers will be the congregation of Range Community Christian Church, Ed Haney, Roy Sprinkle and Dr. Rachel Monderer. The
family will receive friends following the memorial service Thursday night.
Friends may also call at the residence.
