Ethel F. Hart, 82, of Marietta, passed away on May 19th.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Chapel, Marietta.
Ethel was born in Watauga, Tennessee in 1929.
She and her husband, Roy, moved to Marietta in 1957 when he came to work for Lockheed Georgia. They made a home, raised a family, and lived in Marietta for the past 53 years.
In addition to managing the home and raising her son, she worked as a secretary for Anesthesia Associates in Marietta for over 20 years.
Ethel was a longtime member of Mount Bethel United Methodist Church in Marietta, where she leaves behind a host of great friends. She was well known for her outstanding baked goods which she was always eager to provide for any occasion or need. For many years, her favorite hobby was quilting. In addition to providing friends and family with many beautiful quilts, she also won several blue ribbons for her work in quilting shows. She always put her many friends and family first and was always there to help whenever anyone needed anything.
A loving, Christian wife and mother, she is survived by her husband of 56 years, Roy J. Hart, her son, Gary, and his wife, Sondra; sisters, Mary Sue Pierson and Lois Ann Smith and her husband Wayne. Her grandchildren are David, James and Lindsay Hart.
Rest in peace and hold a place in Heaven for the rest of us.
