Jennie Kermen went to be with the Lord on July 11th, 2012. She was born February 4th, 1922 in Bancroft, Idaho, the daughter of John Thomas Whitworth and Jennie (Bennett) Whitworth. She graduated from Pocatello High School in 1940 and attended Idaho State University where she met her future husband Clarence Kermen.

Clarence and Jennie were married December 18, 1943 at the Kermen home in Cle Elum while he was on military leave during the war. Their twin sons, Tom and Harold were born in 1946. They had lived in South Cle Elum since 1948 until his death in 2001 at which time Jennie moved to Redmond to live with her son Harold and daughter in law Diana.

She and Clarence were members of the Cle Elum Community Church where she had served as a Sunday School teacher and Board Member. Jennie also had worked at Western Auto and Cavallini's Pharmacy.
During return trips to the Cle Elum area, Jennie loved to visit with friends Donna Willette, John and Gwen Cavallini, Dave Arnold, and Debbie Slack and the "gang" at Cavallini's Pharmacy.

She looked forward each year to the 4th of July parade in Cle Elum with family and grandchildren, who all called her "Mama Jennie". She enjoyed attending the First Baptist Church of Redmond with family and friends where she recently celebrated her 90th birthday.

Jennie is survived by Tom and Karen Kermen and grandson John of Aloha, OR, Harold and Diana Kermen of Redmond, WA, Grandson Jeff and Chawntain Kermen of Tacoma, WA; Grandson Todd and Amy Dittrick, and Great Grandchildren Olivia and Owen of South Cle Elum.
