Dora's exact birth date is up for discussion since her obituary shows birth date of April 14, 1873, U.S. Passport application shows birth date of Oct 10, 1880, and California Death Index shows birth date of April 14, 1873, and all information from family shows her birth date as October 10, 1873. On January 14, 1914 she married Edwin James Kilpatrick. He was born on Sept. 25, 1869 in Danville, Vermillion Co., Illinois. The son of James Davis & Mary E. (Cole) Kilpatrick. In Edwin Kilpatrick's 1920 U.S. Passport Application he lists his occupation as Theatrical Propriator. Both he and Dorothea traveled extensively in Europe and China (info found at www.ancestry.com).
