WELCH, William R. Welch, 77, of 911 1/2 So. J Street died yesterday at the Washington Soldiers Home, Orting. Born in Kansas he had lived here seven years. Mr. Welch was an Army veteran and a member of the American Legion Post at Orting. Survivors include five sisters: Mrs. Roland Grover of Tacoma, Mrs. Grace Martin of Portland, Oregon, Mrs. Tillie Colligan of Bellingham, Washington; Mrs. Leslie Bargewell of Everson, Washington; and Mrs. Myrtle Carlson of Everett, Washington, and one brother, Ed Welch of Carbonado, Washington. Services will be announced by Mountain View Funeral Home.
