LANDRY, ERNEST EDWIN - 94, St. Peter's, passed away February 20, 2012 at his residence in the Richmond Villa, St. Peter's, Born in Sampsonville, he was the son of the late Freeman and Catherine (Briand) Landry. He was a past member of the RCL Branch 47, St. Peter's and was a former employee with Malcolm S. MacDonald Sand & Gravel up until his retirement. Ernest is the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by daughters, Brenda Doyle (Leonard) Alberta, Doreen Barrett, Lower Sackville, Josephine Harker (Gary), Halifax, Emily Morrison (George), River Tillard, Darlene Bona (Alexander), Antigonish, Theresa Mariner (Donnie), St. Peter's, Alice Landry, Halifax; sons, Robert (Valerie), Hamilton, On., Frederick (Mary), Ernest Jr, (Jane) and John (Pauline) all of Sampsonville; son in law Danny Wincey, Sampsonville; 24 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great- grandson. He was predeceased by his wife Mary Stella (Fougere) Landry; son Abraham; daughter Catherine; sisters, Josephine and Alice; brothers, Abe, Raymond and Bill; son in law Kenneth Barrett. Visitation will be held in the River Bourgeois Community Funeral Parlour in River Bourgeois this evening from 7-9 pm and on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.. Funeral Mass will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 pm in St. Peter's Catholic Church, St. Peter's with Rev. Dennis Lamey officiating. Burial in St. Peter's Catholic Church Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations can be made to the Richmond Villa Activity Fund. The family would like to thank the Richmond Villa Staff and Dr. J.A.
