Robert Ebner, 61, Operator of Sweet Shop
Robert R. Ebner, 61, owner and operator of Bob's Sweet Shop, Heckman street, Phillipsburg, died unexpectedly yesterday afternoon at the sweet shop. His home was 19 Shimer Blvd., Shimer Manor.
Mr. Ebner operated sweet shops in Phillipsburg since 1948. Before that he was a patternmaker for the General Steel Castings Co., Eddystone, PA
Born in Easton, he was a son of the late Frederick and Flora Diehl Ebner.
He was a member of Stewartsville Lutheran Church, Delaware Chapter 52, F&AM, and Warren Council 35, Tall Cedars of Lebanon.
Surviving are his widow, the former Mary Margaret Woolf; a son, Raymond, Shimer Manor; two brothers James and Alfred, bother of Easton; two sisters, Mrs. Layton Everhart, Easton, and Mrs. George Kuebler, Albany, N.Y., and two grandsons.
A private funeral will be held Thursday at the Finegan Funeral Home, Phillipsburg
