Zola M. Eller
Mrs. Zola M. "Moma Zola" Eller, 913 Broad Street, Elizabethton, died Wednesday, January 2, 2002, at her residence.
Mrs. Eller was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late Chris A. and Mae Nave Morrell. She was also preceded in death by two
husbands, Fred Hardin, in 1941, and Charlie Eller, November 22, 1972, a daughter, Frances Wellborn, a brother, Willard Morrell, and a sister, Minnie Galloway.
Mrs. Eller was a retired telephone operator for North American Rayon Corporation where she was employed for 35 years. She was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty Chambers, Elizabethton; a stepdaughter and her husband, Barbara and John Merritt, Elizabethton; seven grandchildren, including a special granddaughter, Debbie Keller; eight great-grandchildren; two aunts, Marie Senter and Pansy Taylor, both of Elizabethton; a nephew and
his wife, Dr. J.M. and Helen Galloway, Nashville; and a niece and her husband,
Doris and Henry Campbell, Nashville.
Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
ELLER -- A Celebration of the Life of Mrs. Zola M. "Moma Zola" Eller, 913 Broad Street, Elizabethton, who went to be with her Lord Wednesday, January 2, 2002, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Friday, January 4, at Memorial Funeral
Chapel with the Rev. Elmer Carter and the Rev. Phil Poston officiating. Music will be provided by Gail Campbell, soloist, and JoAnn Campbell, pianist.
Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, January
5, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, will be Jim Keller, Ricky Paul Whisenhunt, Steve Campbell, Tommy Pleasant, Sam Bradshaw and Floyd Nave.
Honorary pallbearers will be her church family, friends and neighbors. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Friends may also call at her residence. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Saturday to go to the cemetery.
