Widow or divorcee of Martin Glitsch, who was born September 1860 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. If you follow the city directories in the Wheeling, West Virginia vicinity, per Louisa's statements she was a widow beginning around 1906-1907, as she appeared as Louisa Glitsch (widow of Martin) starting 1906-1907. In the 1910 Census she was a "widow". However, I believe they divorced, as I found a 1929 Pennsylvania death certificate for a Martin Glitsch who was born 04 September 1860 in PA, and his parents were born in Germany. This matches up perfectly with the Martin who married Louisa Dopler. I am not 100% certain that the Martin Glitsch who died in 1929 in Allegheny County, PA was the husband of Louisa Dopler and father of all her children. If he was, he apparently remarried to a Marie ______, who survived him in 1929. I hope to be able to confirm this, but not sure how that can be possible. If the Martin Glitsch who died in 1929 was another Martin, then I am still seeking the Martin who married Louisa Dopler and was the father of all her children. He would have died almost assuredly between 1906-1910. No other Martin Glitschs have been found in my very extensive research. Death records, local cemetery listings, censuses, and city directories have been searched well.
