This is highly assumed to be the Martin Glitsch who married Louisa Dopler about 1883. The Martin Glitsch who married Louisa Dopler was born in September 1860 in PA per the 1900 Census in Martins Ferry, Belmont County, Ohio when he was with Louisa and his children. He stated that his parents were born in Germany on this census. Louisa listed herself as the widow of Martin beginning in 1906-1907 in Wheeling, West Virginia area city directories. In the 1910 Census she stated she was a widow. It is believed she was lying, and that they were divorced. The death certificate attached to this memorial, states that this Martin Glitsch was born 04 September 1860 in PA, and his parents, names unknown, were born in Germany. This matches perfectly. His wife is listed as Marie, who survived him. It is my strong assumption this this Martin who died in 1929 and is buried in West Union Cemetery is the Martin who fathered the linked children, and was first married to Louisa Dopler. It is possible that this is a different Martin Glitsch. If this is the case, the Martin Glitsch who fathered the linked children and who was married to Louisa Dopler is still being sought. It would then be my strong assumption that he died somewhere between 1906-1910. It may never be possible to make this determination, especially if he no longer associated with his children after separating with Louisa. John Clarence Glitsch was killed in 1916, and Wheeling, West Virginia area newspapers only mention one parent surviving him, and this was Louisa. If this Martin was his father, he most likely didn't claim him as such.
