Loys "Bill" Watts, 72, died Thursday, Nov. 16, 2000, at his home in Mathiston. He was born May 11, 1928, in Kilmichael. He was a retired welder and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Spring Valley Baptist Church in Mathiston with the Rev. Charles White officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Mavis Watts of Mathiston; two daughters, Nancy Fulgham of Mathiston and Jennifer Elmore of Pheba; one son, Bobby Watts of Mathiston; three sisters, Vera Watts of Bakersfield, Calif., Mattie Power of Mathiston and Fay Morgan of Pascagoula; two brothers, Arthur Watts of Arab, Ala., and Jimmy Watts of Greenwood; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

The body will lie in state at the church one hour before services.
