Visitation for Vera Mildred Watts will be held at Basham Funeral Care (3312 Niles Street) on Sunday evening, October 3, 2004 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the Basham Funeral Care Chapel on Monday morning, October 4, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Vera was born August 2, 1922 in Fort Worth, Texas to Arthur and Edith Watts and she passed away in Delano on Tuesday, September 28, 2004. She is survived by 2 sisters; 2 brothers; daughter and son-in-law, Dona and Bud Bickmore; grandchildren, Kenneth Faulkner Jr., James Burnham, Robert Burnham, David Faulkner, Pamela Coleman, Teresa Burnham, Laura Aninion, Brenda Medina, and Jami Lyon; great-grandchildren, Lisa, Ty, Zack, Ted, Jody, Chris, Kayla, Jessica A., Brandon, Alyssa A., Matthew, Joseph, Jacob, Anthony, Hayley, Holly, Jessica B., Jim, Amy, Alyssa B., and Sharon as well as a great-great-grandson, Kyle.
Vera married Donald Dahlquist in 1941. They had two daughters, Dona and Dorthy. Vera had many talents and interests. Her greatest accomplishment was receiving her high school diploma in 1966.
