Born in Boston, MA, he was the son of the late Daniel J. Jr. and Mary H. (Norris) Larkin. Mr. Larkin, a Korean War Veteran, was the owner of RNL Promotions and previously worked in sales for Fleet Leasing.
He was a member of the South Kingstown Lions Club, South Kingstown Chamber of Commerce and a longtime volunteer for the CVS Charity Classic.
He was the father of Richard N. Larkin and his wife Bertha Beaudreau of North Kingstown, Ann L. Arnesen and her husband Stig of Middletown, Kathleen P. Larkin of Chatham, NY, Steven E. Tiernan of East Providence, Deborah T. Fagan and her husband Thomas of West Kingston, Maureen A. Larkin and her husband David Reavill of Walpole, MA; brother of Daniel J. Larkin III of CO, Gail M. McHugh and Mary E. Larkin both of MA and grandfather of ten.
His funeral will be held Wednesday at 10:00 AM in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., South Kingstown. Burial with military honors will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8 PM.
