Dr. C.P. Kinney, of Crossville, one of the old time physicians of the county, died at his home Sunday at the age of 83,
Ill health had caused him to give up his practice several years ago after having followed his profession since graduation from the Cincinnati medical school in 1877.
He was a native of Virginia, born at Staunton, December 4 , 1849. With his parents, he went to Kentucky when he was about nine years old.
A year after graduation from medical school he married Henrietta Race, of Knoxville, Ky., and came to Crossville where he remained for the remainder of his life.
Surviving are his widow; two sons, R.P. Kinney, Crossville, Judge Guy Kinney, Twin Falls, Idaho; six grandchildren, Mrs. Ruby Reynolds, Long Island, N.Y., Mrs. Violet Neeley, Shelbyville, Ill., Mrs. Bernice Rice, Carmi; Robert Kinney , Crossville ?? Crawford Hon, Chicago; Paul Hon Crossville; three great grandchildren, Virginia Kinney, Dianne Reynolds and John R. Neely.
