Paul Tweedy, 60, of 504 Short St., Columbia, died Thursday, Dec. 11, at 3:55 p.m. at the Taylor County Hospital. Besides his mother, Mrs. Virgie Furkin Tweedy of Greensburg, he is survived by his wife, Christine Sneed Tweedy of Columbia; one daughter, Mrs. Danny (Judy) Grant of Somerset; one brother, Marvin Tweedy of Ann Arbor, Michigan; three sisters, Christine Burns of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Lottie Burchett of Argo, IL., and Helen Melson of Campbellsville; also two grandsons, Steven Thomas Grant and Stacy Bradford Grant. Mr. Tweedy was a member of the Tabor Methodist Church, a veteran of World War n, and retired from the State Highway Department. Funeral services were Sunday,: Dec. 14, at 2 p.m. at: Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home. Clergy officiating were the Rev. Jerry Cline and the Rev. William Davenport. Interment followed in Haven Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Larry Tweedy, Danny Tweedy, David Tweedy, Leon Tweedy, Donnie Kemp, and Tracy Bingham. Honorary pallbearers were Lou Bingham, Danny Kemp, Darrell Kemp, Russell Montgomery, Alfred Coomer, Bill Cooley, Nelson Branham, and Junior Gilpin.
