Lottie Burchett, age 86 years, a resident of Summit Manor Health & Rehab Columbia, Ky. passed away Monday Dec. 14, 2009 at 1:15 p.m. at Summit Manor.
Born on April 29, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Virgie Furkins Tweedy.
She was the widow of Perry R. Burchett, who preceded her in death on July 6, 2001.
Mrs. Burchett was also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister: Elford Tweedy, Marvin Tweedy, Paul Tweedy and Helen Melson.
She is survived by one sister Christine Burris and her husband, Bolin of Ann Arbor, MI; by three sisters-in-law: Juanita Tweedy of Ann Arbor, MI, Edith Burris of Chicago, IL and Bedalia Burchett of Newman, IL. Several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends also survive.
She was a member of Hadley Community Church and had worked at Proctor and Gamble.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, December 17, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Bro. Elbert Hadley officiating.
Interment in Columbia Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Danny Grant, Jr. Gilpin, Mark Gilpin, Anthony Gilpin, Phillip Burris, Kenneth Miller and Sonny Miller.
