Funeral rites for Mrs. Adelia Kroeger, wife of August
Kroeger, will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon in the
Livingston-Sondermann funeral home. The Rev. Dr. C. B. Harmon, Lutheran, will
conduct the rites. Intermant will be in the family space in Grand Island
cemetery. Mrs. Kroeger died Friday morning in a Denver hospital. She had taken
ill in her home in Golden, Colo., about two months ago and entered the hospital
last Monday. Death was attributed to a heart ailment.
Mrs. Kroeger, daughter
of Peter and Anna Goettsche Heesch, was born July 11, 1880, on the old Peter
Heesch homestead south of this city. She attained womanhood on the farm of her parents and on Oct. 6, 1899, married August Kroeger. Ten children were born of their marriage. Mr. and Mrs. Kroeger made their first home on a farm south of the city, later resided on a farm northwest of this city and moved to Golden to establish their final home, following a brief residence in Grand Island. Mrs. Kroeger was baptized in the Lutheran faith.
Surviving are her husband and five sons, Clarence M. Kroeger and Bernard F. Kroeger, both of Golden, Max P.
Kroeger of Honolulu, Hawaii, Sgt. Dwaine kroeger, with the U.S. Army overseas, and Delmar C. Kroeger, RM 3/c, overseas with the U.S. Navy; four daughters, Mrs. Henry Snyder of this city, Mrs. Walter Cornell and Mrs. Ben Anderie of Golden, and Mrs. Richard Scanion of Borger, Texas; two brothers, John Heesch of Phillips and William Heesch of Oakley, Cal., four sisters, Mrs. Amelia toltenberg, Mrs. George T. Bauman, Mrs. John Baasch and Mrs. Henry Lucks, all of this city, and 16 grandchildren. Her parents, a son Allan, and a sister, Mrs. August Peters, preceded her in death.
