MRS. GEORGE BAUMANN DIES AT GRAND ISLAND -

Mrs. George Baumann, mother of Mrs. Alice Prince and Mrs. Wm. Rudolf of Palmer, and Mrs. R. V. Crawford of St. Paul, died last Saturday evening in St. Francis hospital at Grand Island. She had been failing in health for three years.

Besides her three daughters and her husband, Mrs. Baumann is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Henry Lucks and Mrs. John Baasch, both of Grand Island, and three grandchildren.

Mrs. Baumann was a member of a pioneer Hall County family. She was born five miles southeast of Grand Island May 24, 1888, to Mr. and Mrs. Peter Haasch (sic). When she was nine years old, the family moved to Grand Island. Here she completed her schooling.

She and Mr. Baumann were married September 18, 1907 in Grand Island. With the exception of ten year period, during which Mr. and Mrs. Baumann resided at Palmer, Grand Island had always been the family's home.

Mrs. Baumann was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a member of St. Paul's English Lutheran Church in Grand Island.
